Create The Impression That There Are Two Parties In Greensboro: A White Republican Party And A Black Democratic Party

 

After observing several years of City Council leadership with a 5-3 Republican majority, some 15, 16, 17, and 18 year old white residents will get the idea that whites are Republicans and blacks are Democrats; they would not see many examples of white Democratic leaders at the local level. Thus when they register to vote, many would automatically register as Republicans.
